Is it a bus or a boat? Actually, it鈥檚 both! Stone Mountain undoubtedly is one of the most recognized top Atlanta attractions, and now you can learn everything about the mountain and its surrounding park by taking the Ride the Ducks聽tour. Start the tour by boarding a 1940s era Army DUKW, an open-air vehicle driven by a captain who shares interesting facts, funny stories and more about Stone Mountain. And before the tour ends, the DUKW actually takes to the water for a lovely cruise around Stone Mountain Lake! It鈥檚 a one-of-a-kind experience at one of the area鈥檚 most celebrated landmarks.

Whale sharks highlight the Georgia Aquarium experience.

Sleeping with the fishes doesn鈥檛 have to be a bad thing! In fact, it鈥檚 one of the coolest things you can do at the Georgia Aquarium. Available for families, groups and others, the sleepover program invites guests to spend the night at the venue to learn about the ocean and its many inhabitants, including a focus on sharks and whales. You鈥檒l wake up next to one of the Aquarium鈥檚 animal habitats and enjoy free admission for the day after your program. It鈥檚 a personalized behind-the-scenes tour unlike any other, and it鈥檚 available for guests ages 7 and up.

Zoo Atlanta Wild Encounters

Have you ever wanted to meet a panda? Or feed an elephant? How about a lemur? You can meet and feed all of these during a wild encounter at Zoo Atlanta. Get up close and personal with an array of animals, from a Giant Panda or an African elephant to a warthog or a lemur. A combo ticket allows you access to all of the animals participating in the program. Reservations must be made in advance, and program availability is subject to change based on each animal鈥檚 needs. You鈥檙e sure to have a truly wild time at one of the top Atlanta attractions around.

Every Sunday from 1 to 4 pm, the Woodruff Arts Center welcomes families for some free Sunday fun. The venue鈥檚 interactive environment includes workshops and activities and the opportunity to explore and create art in a beautiful setting. Each week offers a different theme, and the activities focus on everything from art to music to drama. And when you register to participate, you will be entered to win a High Museum of Art family membership. It鈥檚 a new and exciting way to enjoy some family time at one of the most renowned top Atlanta attractions, which is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the High Museum.

The 21-and-over crowd has a new nightspot. Beginning in February 2017, the second Friday of each month will see Fernbank open its doors after hours for Fernbank After Dark, an exciting evening experience that will include hands-on science activities, science demonstrations, access to the museum鈥檚 exhibitions, live music, full bars, tapas menus, films in the giant screen theater and more. The science themes offered will change regularly, as will the immersive programming. It鈥檚 an innovative way for adults to enjoy a top Atlanta attraction while mixing science and the social scene.
