Callaway Gardens' TreeTop Adventures

A quest to test your love of nature, the Pine Mountain adventure features zip lines and other high-flying challenges at聽聽in Gilmer County. Over 3,000 feet long and 70 feet above the forest floor, experiences range from 44 to 700 feet long. Featuring five zip lines and 20 sections, the base Discovery Course highlights slot blog netting, ladders, discs, logs, wires and other suspended surfaces. The Lake Course features five zip lines, several over water, and four obstacle courses for a more adventurous option.

Pedal Through Gilmer County

Distinguished as 鈥淕eorgia鈥檚 Mountain Biking Capital,鈥澛犅爃as more than 100 miles of single-track mountain biking trails.聽, an adventure biking website, named the Ellijay Bear Creek trail its third favorite mountain biking destination in Georgia. Other favored byways include Carter鈥檚 Lake Trail, a 5.6-mile roller coaster ride through the Ridgeway Recreation Center, and Stanley Gap, a 12-mile scenic route. The pathways are maintained year-round by the Ellijay Mountain Bike Association and its volunteers.

Tallulah Gorge State Park
